Eric Vetter, President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer

Eric VetterEric Vetter has over 20 years of financial and general management expertise, including significant experience in the intellectual property-based business. Eric oversees Unwired Planet’s finance, information technology and corporate services departments. Prior to his appointment as CFO & CAO, Eric was a consultant to Aristocrat Technologies where he was responsible for reviewing the company’s strategic planning and cost saving initiatives. From 2000 to 2011 he was with International Game Technology, serving in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting for the $2B Gaming Group Division, with responsibility for Operational Finance and Accounting, M&A, Treasury and Business Development.

Eric holds B.S. in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Masters of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

 


Daniel Mendez, General Manager, Intellectual Property Division

Daniel MendezAs general manager of Unwired Planet’s intellectual property business, Daniel is responsible for creating and executing a successful patent strategy for Unwired Planet. Before joining Unwired Planet, Daniel co-founded Visto (now Good Technology) in 1996 and has been instrumental in developing leading industry technologies. He is the principal inventor of multiple patents related to remote access, security and remote synchronization.

Prior to Good, Daniel was Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at American Management Systems (AMS), where he managed large-scale projects and was involved in the AMS Center for Advanced Technologies. Before AMS, Daniel served in a variety of technical leadership and management roles, including Director and Senior Technical Consultant at Cambridge Technology Partners.

Daniel holds an A.B. in computer science, with a concentration in cognitive psychology from Harvard University.

 


Timothy M. Robbins, General Manager, Intellectual Property Division

Daniel MendezAs general manager of Unwired Planet’s intellectual property business, Tim is responsible for creating and executing a successful patent strategy for Unwired Planet. Prior to joining Unwired Planet, Tim served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Visto Corporation, which acquired and merged with Good Technology, from 2004 to 2011. He has a proven track record of solving complex legal and business problems, and extensive experience in managing and settling high profile multi-jurisdictional IP litigation. He also brings substantial cross-border transactional experience, with licensing and corporate transactions completed in over 30 countries. Prior to Good Technology he worked as an attorney at Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin and Hachigian.

Tim holds a B.A. in business/economics from the University of California Los Angeles and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
